Problems with Quake 4 and Sound Blaster X-Fi settings

- The game Quake 4 could not save Sound Blaster X-Fi audio settings.
To resolve, download and install the latest Sound Blaster X-Fi drivers

- If you have not already done so, download
the latest drivers for your X-Fi card.
- Browse into C:\Program Files\Creative\Sound Blaster X-Fi\Programs, and
run SETUP.EXE. You can also run the SETUP.EXE in the \Audio\Drivers folder
in the Sound Blaster installation CD-ROM.
- Under Update Option check the Driver uninstallation box.
- Check the Delete all shared Creative audio driver files box.
- Click OK.
- Click Yes to the warning that follows.
- Click OK to proceed with the uninstallation.
- When prompted, click OK to reboot your system.
- When your system has rebooted, click Cancel when Windows detects
new hardware.
- Reinstall the X-Fi latest driver update.
- Reboot PC when prompted.
- Launch Quake 4, and apply Sound Blaster X-Fi settings in the game's audio
settings.
